SHOOTING CLEAR GLASS
A Photo Project

by Florence w Deems

The members of the camera club I belong to wanted to practice shooting clear glass on black and white backgrounds. So I decided to make this into a personal photo project.

A peacock's downy feather
stuck into a clear glass.

Two wine glasses

The fancy tangled ribbon caught
various colors of the ambient light.

The flame is the major light source here.

Selenite "towers" - very glassy

::: ::: :::

Two faceted glass crystals.

Crystal bell.

Cut glass jar with lid

Simple glass bowl with ladle.

A Chinese wood carving inside glass.

::: ::: :::

A glass egg timer.

::: ::: :::

No reason to set up inside.
This was shot outside on a bench with
the sun streaking through it
to land on the bench.

I hope to add more images to this project
as I produce them.

For those interested, this article explains
how to shoot images of clear glass.
