Moon's light lacing shadows
On my white gown
And his black tux.
We pledged our troth
Til death do us part.

And then Iraq -

Now his light shines down on me,
As I wander in my memories.

Hungry, they stand so skeletal;
Shivering, they pocket their hands;
Depressed, they wait through endless days.
Who will give them hope?
