VIEWS FROM THE BENCH
SAYEN GARDENS
POND & BRIDGE

by Florence W Deems

The two images below are both panoramas of the lovely pond. An arched white-painted bridge spans a shallow inlet on the far side of the pond. This inlet actually has a purpose, as it houses the water pump. The first image shows an early springtime scene, while the second was shot during a snowy day in the middle of winter. When there is fluffy snow covering all trees, bushes and rocks, the pond is transformed into a winter fairy wonderland. The third image shows the pond in late October, the water weeds having overgrown much of its surface.
